Shelford Primary School aims to provide the very best education possible for our students in a safe, secure and happy environment. School staff, parents, students and community, work together to develop broad thinkers who can apply their skills, attitudes, values and knowledge in a changing world.
It's been a long wait but finally our Shade Sail has arrived! We think it looks fantastic and will come in very handy as Summer approaches.
Last term, our Senior students visited our local Kindergartens in Inverleigh and Teesdale.
Our Tree Planting Day was a huge success! We managed to get almost 70 native plants in the ground, plus our new fruit trees. A big thanks to all of our community members who came to help!
We have had a very busy term in the kitchen! As well as being our Junior Class teacher, Ms Welch is also a qualified chef and provides the most amazing experiences for our students through our weekly cooking program.
Students at Shelford PS are so creative! Despite the range in ages, our students often play together, devising creative and imaginative games. Here they have made up a game called Angry Birds, which involves them collaboratively building towers out of soft mats and taking turns to jump into them.
With school back in session, we started off the year by turning over our garden beds and removing the masses of spuds that had matured over the summer break. We also planted a new range of vegetables such as peas, different types of tomato plants, and cucumbers to name a few.
We are very proud to announce that Shelford Primary School will run OSHC after school care from Term 1 onwards.
Recently, we asked our students what they thought of our school. Here are the posters they made highlighting what they think makes Shelford PS great!
