Wear Green for Farmers is a state-wide effort to raise awareness and urgently needed hay for drought-affected farmers in Victoria. We are so proud to be associated with this very worthy cause!

Book Week

Don't we all look fabulous dressed up as our favourite book characters!
?❤? Last week we celebrated Book Week which culminated in a dress up day on Friday. Such an eclectic mix of characters, representing our staff and student's creativity and unique personalities.

Year 6 Camp

Our year 6 students had the best time at camp this week! We are so proud of the way they challenged themselves to try new things and work collaboratively with students from other schools. Both Cobar and Chelsea made many new friends at camp and will remember this experience forever ❤?

Cooking Program

Lunch is served! Last week in our cooking program, our students made ham and cheese pizza scrolls. ??‍???‍?Yuuuummmm!

World Teachers Day

Happy World Teachers Day to the hardworking, dedicated educators at Shelford Primary. We are so grateful for all you do!

Big Beetroots and Crazy Carrots

Big beetroots and crazy carrots ??????
Yesterday we harvested our crop of carrots and beetroot. The beetroots are huge and our carrots delicious, although they probably wouldn't make it onto supermarket shelves given their wacky form!

Swimming

Last Friday marked the end of our swimming program for 2025. We had the best time refining our swimming and water safety skills!

Revegetating the Shelford Common

Last Friday, we all headed down to the Shelford Common to re-vegetate this beautiful community space. We planted 80 indigenous plants and protected them with mulch and cages. A big thanks to Glenn Jeffrey for doing all of the prep work and inviting us down for this special event ???

Broccoli

Eat your greens!... it's not hard when it's tasty, homegrown broccoli
??? We got a bumper harvest this year and are looking forward to putting it to good use in our cooking program

Acknowledgement

We acknowledge and respect the traditional custodians whose ancestral lands
Shelford Primary School is located on. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and emerging young leaders, and learners of today.

We also express our gratitude that we share this land today, our sorrow for some of the costs of that sharing, and our hope and belief that we can move to a place of equity, justice and partnership together.
