Small Classes = Personalised Teaching

Due to our small class sizes, students at Shelford P.S received a highly personalised learning program that larger schools struggle to provide. Our students work 1:1 each day with our talented teachers in all areas of the curriculum to focus on their individual goals and learning needs. Due to our personalised teaching and learning practices, our students achieve exceptional results and typically exceed the learning growth seen in schools with larger classes. For the first 3 hours of each day, our students focus on developing their core literacy and numeracy skills.

We use an evidence based approach to determine each child’s next point of learning and empower students to achieve their full potential. This is achieved by creating an engaging, innovative, safe and supportive learning environment, where high expectations for learning is upheld and student choice and voice are embraced.
